Sally Mann was named “America’s Best Photographer” by Time magazine in 2001. She is most famous for her intimate black and white portraits of her young children at the family’s summer cabin published in her book Immediate Family in 1992. Her images, taken with a 100 year old 8″x10″ bellows camera, often capture the innocence of childhood pursuits but also often deal with the loss of that innocence in growing up.
